8/6/08 Newspaper Collection

The fire company is going to be collecting newspapers at the firehall. The money made off this fundraiser will go to improvements to the building. Anyone wishing to drop off their newspapers please contact any member or call (814) 943-3704 for times when you can drop them off.

2/21/08 22" Hoagie Sale

The fire company is once again going to be having their 22" Hoagie Sale on Friday, April 18, 2008. We will be taking orders thur April 10. The cost is $7.00/hoagie. We will deliver to any business wishing to order them. To order see any member or call the hall at 943-3704.

1/27/08 Bowling Tournament

We are going to be having our annual mixed scotch doubles bowling tournament on Feb 10,2008 at Splinters Lanes at 1:00pm. The cost of the tournament will be $15.00 per person/ $30.00 per couple. For more info see any member or call the firehall. The tournament is sponsored by Ansley RV

1/27/08 Super Bowl Sunday Wing Sale

We are going to be having a wing sale on Super Bowl Sunday from 3pm-6pm at the firehall. The cost is $6.00/dz. Mild, Honey BBQ , and garlic will be the varieties available. There will also be French Fires available. Cost is 4.00 for a tray full. For more info see any member or call the firehall.

8/9/07 Animal Oxygen Masks Donated

The fire company received a set of animal oxygen masks this evening before there monthly meeting. There are three different sizes in the kit they received. They were donated to us from a local resident residing in the fire company's coverage area. Barry & Christine Ritchey was contacted by coordinator Carole Graffius about donating the masks to the us. The cost of the set was $65.00. We want to give a big thanks to them for the donation as it could be a very useful tool to the fire company.

6/24/07 Relay for Life

The fire company received the 1st place top fundraising award at the northern Blair county Relay for Life that was held on June 22 & 23 at Bellwood-Antis High Schools Memorial Stadium. The fire company raised alittle over $7100 to be donated to the American Cancer Society. A big thank you goes out to everyone who help make this a success as this is a very worthwhile cause.

6/19/07 LODD Charleston,SC

June 18,2007 9 Charleston, SC firefighters lost their lives battling a fire at a Sofa Super Store/ Warehouse. Initial reports are that there was a heavy amount of fire that swept though the building and eventually collapsing the roof of the structure trapping the firefighters inside.

The members of there fire company would like to send out there condolences to the families and also the Charleston Fire Department. Please keep them all in your thought and prayers.

6/10/07 Chicken BBQ Set

The fire company will be having a Chicken BBQ dinner on June 24, 2007 at the. Dinner includes 1/2 chicken, Baked Beans, Mac Salad and Roll. Cost of the dinner is $7.00 See any member for tickets or call the firehall.

4/30/07 State Police Helicopter visit

The PA State Police Helicopter paid a visit to the firehall today to see the Bellwood Troop 29 boy scouts. The scouts were shown all around the helicopter along with some of the members of the firehall. We would like to send a thank you out to the state police and boy scouts for letting the members look and learn with them tonight. More pictures to come soon on photos page.

4/26/07 Ham & Cheese Sandwich Sale

We are going to be have a Ham & Cheese Sandwich Sale on May 30,2007. The price of the sandwich will be $2.50 per sandwich. Anyone interested in ordering please see any member or call the firehall before May 24,2007

3/20/07 Tanker 23-21 Back in Service

After being out of service for approx 11 weeks we were able to go to kaza to pick the tanker up this afternoon. It took alittle longer than expected due to some unforeseen circumstances that arose during the reassembly of the truck but the extra time was worth it knowing that it was done right the first time.

3/15/07 Easter Egg Hunt

The Fire Company's annual Children's Easter Egg Hunt will be held on April 1,2007 at 2:00pm at the firehall. It will be open to all children between ages 1 thru 10 living in Antis Township District #1. There will be approx 40 prizes for all 5 divisions. Age groups will be 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8, and 9&10. 2/20/07 Bowling Tournament

On Feb 11,2007 the fire company held its annual scotch doubles bowling tournament at splinters lanes. We had 17 couples who bowled 3 games a piece to get there combined score for the day. The top 3 couples each was awarded prize money. Below is the top 5 couples and there combined scores:

2/7/07 Busy Morning for Dept

At 6:31hrs Stations 23 and 22 were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident on I-99 Northbound at exit 41 with 1 vehicle on its roof with no reported injuries. 23-01 went enroute direct and was advised from Blair 911 that there was a 2nd accident in the southbound lane with 1 vehicle over the embankment with no injuries. 23-01 arrived on scene and confirmed 2 accident with no injuries and to proceed with caution due to the icy conditions. 23-31 handled the Northbound accident and 22-31 handled the southbound accident slowing traffic till the vehicles were removed. While waiting for PSP Blair 911 advised 23-01 of a 3rd accident on I-99 Southbound at Exit 39 with one vehicle over the embankment with airbag deployment 23-01 and 23-41 responded to the 3rd call and advised of no injuries at the accident. The box was then placed into service at 07:48 hrs

2/5/07 Fish Fry's to begin

The fire company will once again be having its annual fish fry's beginning Friday, Feb 23,2007 and continuing every Friday through lent. We will once a again be having Baked or Fried Fish and also Chicken Fingers will be available. 1/3/07 UPDATE ON 23-21

Today 4 members went to kaza to check on the progress of the tank replacement on the tanker. The old tank has been removed completely and the new one is on order and should arrive in a couple of weeks. They also were able to see anything else that might need to be fixed or replaced while the tank is out to save more work in the long run.

12/30/06 Wing Sale

The fire company will be having a wing sale on Feb 4,2007 from 3:30 - 5:30 at the firehall. Wings will be sold for $6.00 for a bakers dozen (13) and will include ranch dressing and celery. Mild, Honey BBQ , and garlic will be the varieties available. For more info call the firehall.

12/27/06 Bingo set to reopen

Bingo is set to reopen on Wed Jan 3,2007 at 6:30. The members enjoyed a much needed week off to spend the holidays with their family and friends. We are looking forward to opening back up and seeing everyone.

12/26/06 Tanker 23-21 Out of Service

Tanker 23-21 was placed out of service this morning and headed to Kaza to have the tank replaced. They will be replacing the old tank with a new 3000 gal poly tank the repairs are expected to take 6-8 weeks to complete.
